Trial & Document Technology in Houston

Dedicated trial technicians, exhibit organization, video playback, and courtroom equipment setup for trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions—in person or remotely.

A TECHNICIAN ON YOUR TEAM

You lead the examination.
We handle the presentation.

A trial or document technician operates the presentation while you focus on your questions and argument. QLV organizes your exhibits in advance and retrieves documents, displays the relevant page, and plays selected testimony at your direction during the proceeding.

This role is often called the “hot seat.” It takes preparation as well as live operation: knowing your files, understanding your presentation sequence, and being ready when counsel needs to change direction.

Exhibit organization

Turn a collection of PDFs, photographs, and video into an organized presentation set. We work with your exhibit list, identifiers, and intended sequence so the right material can be located during questioning.

Live document presentation

Bring up exhibits, navigate to the requested page, enlarge passages, and highlight details as you direct. Keep the audience’s attention on the part of the document being discussed.

Deposition video playback

Prepare and play page-and-line deposition clips in the sequence your team selects. Coordinate revisions and the final approved selections before presentation.

Courtroom equipment setup

Plan and set up the presentation equipment for the room. Review available displays, connections, audio playback, positioning, and venue requirements before the proceeding.

ONE TEAM. FOUR SETTINGS.

Support wherever your case is heard.

Trials

Support openings, witness examinations, and closings with organized exhibits and selected video testimony. A dedicated technician handles retrieval and playback so counsel can stay engaged with the witness and the courtroom.

Mediations

Keep the documents and testimony behind your position ready to present. Move between an overview, a specific record, and a video excerpt as the discussion develops, whether everyone is in one room or joining remotely.

Arbitrations

Give the arbitrator or panel a clear view of the evidence under discussion. Organize the hearing exhibits, navigate lengthy documents, and present selected testimony throughout the hearing.

Depositions

Use a document technician to manage exhibit display while counsel conducts the examination. Coordinate document presentation with the separate video recording and remote-hosting requirements.

PREPARE · CHECK · PRESENT

The work starts before the room fills.

  1. Define the assignment

Review the dates, proceeding format, expected exhibits, staffing needs, and room or platform. Identify who will call for exhibits and who will approve the presentation materials.

  2. Prepare the evidence

Provide the exhibit list, source files, video, transcripts, and selected testimony. Agree on identifiers, revisions, and a cutoff for the initial presentation set.

  3. Check the presentation

Plan a technical check for document legibility, video sound, display connections, and remote screen sharing. Review the presentation sequence and how counsel will cue the technician.

  4. Support the proceeding

Your technician retrieves and presents materials at your direction. Coordinate changes with the technician so the team is using the intended version of each exhibit and clip.

IN PERSON OR REMOTELY

Different rooms. The same preparation.

In-person proceedings

Discuss the venue’s existing equipment, access for setup, screen locations, and audio needs. Confirm which equipment QLV will provide and what the venue supplies as part of the assignment.

Remote proceedings

QLV offers remote-session hosting and document presentation. Plan participant access, presenter permissions, screen sharing, video audio, and a technical check before the scheduled start.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you book.

Can I book a document technician for a mediation or deposition?

Yes. QLV provides dedicated trial/document technicians for trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions, both in person and remotely. Tell us which parts of the session you want the technician to handle.

Is remote hosting the same as presenting exhibits?

They are different tasks. Hosting concerns the session and participant connections; document presentation concerns the exhibits shown during questioning or argument. QLV offers both, and we will define the staffing and responsibilities for your assignment.

Do I need finished exhibits before contacting QLV?

No. Contact us while you are planning so preparation time and equipment needs can be discussed. Tell us roughly how many files and videos you expect, when they will be available, and when the proceeding begins.

Should I book a technician or use Docustrator?

Book QLV when you want a person to prepare and operate the presentation. Docustrator is software sold by QLV for teams that want to control their own document presentation. Explore the product through the Docustrator link, or ask us which approach fits your assignment.

LET’S PLAN YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Bring us the details.

Tell us your proceeding date, location or remote platform, expected duration, materials, and delivery deadline. We’ll review the scope, availability, and pricing with you before confirming the assignment.
